Who We Are

Linda and Pete Alexander are 15-year residents of Sonoma County. For many years they were corporate managers, and when they had to be away on extended business trips, they had to leave behind Jenny, their 12-year-old companion Golden Retriever. They personally know how worrisome it can be to leave a pet alone for any period of time. They have hired pet sitters in the past, and know the qualities they would look for in an outstanding, caring pet sitter. Sadly, Jenny (pictured above) left them in the summer of 2003. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge to meet her sister Amber who had crossed before her. Linda Lou (left), released from her training at Canine Companions for Independence, now sweetly graces their home.

Linda has been a dog walker and outreach volunteer for the San Francisco SPCA in the Mobile Adoption Outreach Program. Peter has been a volunteer in the veterinarian clinic, as well as a dog walker at CCI in Santa Rosa, and continues as a puppy socializer. Linda is a volunteer dog walker and puppy socializer there as well. They also foster puppies, service, breeder, and release dogs for CCI. Pete was also the Managing Editor of FETCH, a newspaper for dogs and their owners in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Alameda and San Francisco Counties.

Linda and Pete believe in doing what they can for the environment. They drive fuel efficient, low emission vehicles to and from their pet sitting duties, and they use biodegradable pet waste bags and trash bags.
